Dear soholauren,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MD
There appears to be minimal fat in the area so a skin tightening treatment would be more ideal. Morpheus usually can take up to 2-6 months to see results and the best results are achieved after a series of three treatments. Some patients may have improvement after two. But the key is usually waiting to see the evolution. If you had it done recently, you will not see results right away. The newer microneedling RF devices (such as Morpheus 8) have shown great evidence of improving tissue. But it takes time.
I would suggest you consider liposuction to get the best results possible. Kybella dies not provided result as good as liposuction.
Thanks for your question. Judging from the photos alone, it does not look like you have a lot of fat in the submental area. Go see a board certified plastic surgeon, and they can make the determination whether or not there is treatable fat in this area. Your surgeon may recommend cool sculpting, Kybella, liposuction, topical treatments, or nothing! Best of luck to you.
From the photos you posted, I do not feel you need (or should) do anything more at this time. You have a relatively straight jawline without any jowling, there is no neck banding and no fat pockets under the jaw on the neck. It appears you got a good result and look great! There are many procedures to improve the neck and jawline, but the goal should always be a natural appearance. You must also have a realistic expectations. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
For a double chin, InMode FaceTite with VASERlipo would give you the best result. With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles. Overall, the neck can be treated with a combination approach:1. Microneedling and laser treatments for texture2. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Jeuveau to help platysmal bands3. Intensif, Fractora, or Morpheus8 microneedling RF for crepey skin and lifting4. Injectable fillers like Belotero, Restylane Silk, and Juvederm Volbella to improve lines and folds5. Face/neck lifting if sagging is prominent or premature, with or without platysmaplasty (muscle tightening)6. Renuvion (J-Plasma), ThermiRF, and InMode FaceTite/AccuTite for internal tightening7. Ultherapy and Thermage for external tightening8. Regular Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, or InMode Forma treatments with facials to maintain tightness9. PDO NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift cone threads for lifting and long-term collagen productionSee an expert for a formal evaluation and to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual situation and goals.Best, Dr. Emer
Lip in your case is an option for the peripheral fat in your jaw line. However, if you are considering non-invasive technology I would recommend the Cool mini to you. Kybella cannot be used on the sides of the neck but cool-mini can. Kybella is fantastic but can only be used for the submental fat under the skin. You would need two cool mini applicators, one on each side of your neck. It is important to consult an expert in Cool-mini for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
Since you've already had liposuction and other noninvasive treatments, it's best to consider a neck lift procedure. It's important to understand that there are two compartments of fat, above AND below the platysma muscle. Liposuction will only remove fatty deposits above the platysma muscle. A surgical neck lift is required to remove the fat below the muscle which also includes a platysma-plasty which significantly improves the jaw line. No skin removal is necessary. This procedure is performed under brief general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure
Efforts to obtain a well defined jawline are very common. Kybella or suction assisted lipectomy (liposuction) will most likely be the best treatment options. Find a board certified plastic surgeon in your area an obtain a consultation.
The shape of your job line is primarily determined by your mandible and skeletal relationships. You don’t appear to have excessive amounts of fat and based on this there’s really no good indication to do anything. I recommend excepting your genetic predisposition, having gratitude for who your parents are and family history. This is simply the shape of your face. Your mandible lacks projection at the same time is pointed. This is evidenced by your overbite. This makes the use of chin implants not very favorable because it causes an extreme labio mental angle. They can also create the appearance of words sometimes called a witches chin. Liposuction is your best option but without much fat don’t expect a substantial amount of change. In your case creating a new you gets at the core of our facial identities which is primarily based on skeletal structure.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
While Kybella could help, it is hard to say without seeing your face from a profile view. If there is fat under your chin and around your jaw, Kybella or CoolSculpting could be an option. You may need a PDO thread lift if there is sagging skin once the fat is dissolved.
The safest and most effective way to eliminate a lipoma is through surgical excision. While you might be concerned about residual scarring, let me assure you a board-certified plastic surgeon will know how to suture the incision to minimize the appearance of a scar. Your doctor will also advise...
Hi there! I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector here at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. While Kybella treatments are typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, waiting up to 2 months between sessions is still effective.
