Uneven breasts and nipples after breast lift and augmentation. Can it be fixed? (Photo)

It is important for any surgical candidates to understand that absolute symmetry is a myth. Nobody is absolutely symmetric. If the asymmetry is significant the patient may be aware of it, however, in many instances I can appreciate a difference on exam that the patient is not aware of. If you are asymmetric pre-op, you will be asymmetric post op (unless something is specifically done to address the difference).Slight post operative asymmetries are common (especially early). For patients, it's like identifying a flaw in a magnified photo. While it may be subtle, it seems much more significant on a new, larger canvas.Based upon your photos alone, you appear to have a very nice result. There is some mild asymmetry (which may or may not have been present before) in both size and position. Much of this may settle with more time. I typically remind patients that it may take as long as 6 months to achieve a final result.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS). 

I can only echo what those below have said. First, you are very early in the healing process, and second the idea of "perfect symmetry" is not realistic. I recommend close follow up with your plastic surgeon so they can closely monitor your progress and help you get closer to your goal.

Thanks for your question and photos.  I would say that so far, everything looks great from a glance at the photos.  1 month is still very early in the healing process.  It can take several months before you can appreciate the final result as the implants settle out, swelling completely resolves, and the tissue relaxes.  

Just be patient and keep following up closely with your surgeon, who can best advise you.  Also remember that not very many people have perfectly symmetric breasts.  I always make sure to tell my patients that breasts are generally related, but not necessarily identical twins.  Doing both an enlargement and a lift can increase the chance of subtle asymmetries. Hopefully they will even out more in the next few months. Hope this helps and Best of luck! 

You are very early in the healing process.  More time is needed for the breasts to settle. Just remember when all is said and done, your breasts will be sisters not twins. Mild asymmetries is the norm.
