I have terrible scar on my forehead, I’m feeling bad with it, my self confident is ruined. What type of scar is it? Maybe are few different types? What is the best way to improve this type of scar? Scar has 5 years…it is both funny and scary how something like this can influence on life.
Answer: Possibly starting with CO2 laser to help resurface the skinned even out texture Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Scars on the face may be improved by surgery, injectables or laser treatments. Thank you for this question and sharing these photos. Scars on the face are best improved with surgery, injectables or laser treatments. Laser treatments with no down time can usually be an option on most realistic patients. Surgery might be the best option for deep and wide scars while an injectable for a depressed scar. It really depends on your skin, sun exposure and genetics. It is best to talk to your surgeon because everybody has different techniques and options with various recovery times. I strongly feel that it's very important to have an honest conversation with your surgeon about your particular situation, lifestyle, work environment and specifically which procedures you're having done so that you both have the most honest answer about your recovery and are realistic with expectations and results. Surgery is not for everyone. In today's day and age, there are many nonsurgical options to consider and laser is usually the most dramatic result. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of facelifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.
