Are heart shaped lip injections like the picture possible? (photos)

Question

Hi! I would say I have really small lips. I have been thinking about this or a while but I haven't been sure. This picture is from a while ago but my lip shape is still the same ( obviously ). I really want that exact shape. My face is round so I think it would work for me.

Dear queeneclipsa,
I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times.
Another Option: For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years.
In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural.

Queeneclipsa. Thank you for your question and photographs. An in person consultation is necessary to determine your best course of action.  Your photograph quality. Is limited.  In general lip shape can be altered on most but not all people.  So bringing in  pictures of lips that you enjoy is helpful as the cosmetic surgeon can let you know what is and what is not reality for your starting lip shape.  Good Luck

To gain fuller and more youthful lips, a variety of procedures are on offer that can be used alone or in combination to achieve the desired effect. The use of hyaluronic filler can achieve the desired result and depending on the type of filler used will determine the duration of action and longevity of the filler. All the best

Thank you for sharing your question.  Unfortunately your photograph offers a limited view of your lips but you should be able to achieve an increase in size, and to some degree shape, with careful placement of a dermal filler.  Hope this helps.

It's hard to evaluate you lips on the photos provided. In general, hyaluronic acid based fillers like Restylane and Juvederm can be used to add volume to the lips and well as enhance the shape of the lips.
