Unfortunately, even the best face lift can not change quality of your skin; face lift is not skin surgery.! Neck lines are in particular difficult issue to deal with. We found some encouraging results with injection of fat nano grafts into these lines. These stem cell enriched injections will, to a certain degree, improve neck lines and overall quality of neck skin. Based on your photos, I believe you had a good result. You disappointment may stem from the face that you had loss of elasticity in your skin. You should wait a whole year to see the final results. If you are not happy, then I would recommend laser resurfacing for your neck. The necklift has reduced the fat and tightened your muscles and perhaps tightened your skin, but it has not resurfaced your skin in the way a laser can. I have performed numerous necklifts, have written and lectured about it, and I believe that laser resurfacing to a neck with skin laxity is the cherry-on-top a year later.

I tell my patients before surgery to expect no improvement in the horizontal lines on the neck. In addition, I tell them to expect no improvement in the lower half of the neck even though slight improvement is possible. I certainly tell them not to expect a big improvement in the lower half of the neck. I also show them why this is by showing the vector pulls from surgery from the incision locations, which demonstrates why lower neck improvement is not likely. Your results are decent from your surgery and at this point, further surgical lifting is not the answer. You may have to seek non surgical treatments which improve the quality of your skin.
