Can receiving repeated lip fillers cause tissue to expand?

As long as the amount of filler is reasonable it should not cause any long-term changes to your tissues.

I have seen firsthand cases of patients who seem to maintain persistent volume despite not having had fillers for quite some time. None of these have been overwhelming or problematic but if anything simply given the desired effect without needing such frequent treatments.

For the great majority of patients the fillers dissipate with time as the body‘s natural enzymes break down the hyaluronic acid leaving them as they were pre-procedure.

For the most part fillers are well tolerated and have remarkably few serious complications.

Hi and welcome to our forum!Injection of a moderate amount of filler will not stretch out lip tissue, even if performed repeatedly over the years. If the injected amount is excessive, however, it may permanently stretch and distort the lip itself. Best wishes...
