I got a breast augmentation 6 months ago. they are 650cc HP Sientra silicone. I was undecided if I wanted a lift as well, so we started with the augmentation first. I am concerned about the skin that appears to be hanging off of the breast/implant. I wanted larger implants anyhow. would 800cc fix the sagging skin? do you suggest an areola reduction? do I need a lift?
Answer: Bellesoma Method No, a bigger implant will not fix the sagging skin. Your 650 cc implants are a one level and your breast tissue is hanging at another level. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implants Implants may not lift the breast enough to avoid a lift. You probably need a lift. Please do not go bigger for you will stretch and thin your tissue even more and sag with time.

Answer: Breast Revision Thank you for your question. You definitely need to finish what you started. You would benefit from a breast lift with removal of inferior pole breast tissue. Breast lifting is an art form. Make sure that you critically evaluate your surgeons results with regard to symmetry of the areolas, size of the areolas, and placement of the incisions. You are an excellent candidate. Best wishes to you.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear bringinsexyback78, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
