I'm only 38, but I feel like my face is falling. The area under the corners of my mouth is suddenly very droopy. What would help this? A mini-facelift?
Answer: Droopy Mouth You are not a good candidate for a facelift and this type of procedure will not improve your concerns. Here are two options. 1) Filler (Juvederm, etc.) injections in the depressed area below the bulge. 2) A small excision of skin and a small amount of fat directly over the bulge area just to the outside of the corners of your mouth. I have done this in several patients and it works well. When the scar matures it is extremely difficult to see. I would not do this procedure on the bulge just below the mouth corners as the scar will be visible. Try the filler first. Good luck.

Answer: Determining the Facial Procedures Best For You During your #consultation, your skin texture and elasticity, as well as your underlying skin structure and your facial bone structure will be evaluated. Based on this evaluation, your board certified plastic surgeons will create a custom surgical plan, detailing specific techniques and recommendations to meet your goals. In doing so, he or she should be sure to have a full understanding of what results you expect. It is possible to #combine #surgeries. In fact, I commonly recommend other procedures to go accompany a facelift, such as blepharoplasty or a midface (cheek) lift, to name a few. The combination of multiple of facial procedures may create an optimal result. The best procedure approach will be discussed in greater detail during your one-on-one #consultation. I invite you to visit PacificCenterPlasticSurgery.com to view a complete list of surgeries commonly performed. If you are not a #candidate, your surgeon can make other suggestions to address your concerns and objectives. It is extremely important to seek a board certified plastic surgeon highly trained with your desired procedures. I also encourage you to look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients. Also, reading patient reviews of those who have had combined surgeries will be beneficial. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.

Answer: Lifting the droop The skin matures around the ages of 30-35 and aging becomes more visible starting then. The small laxity you see is very common and often the first signs of aging in the lower face. While a mini-facelift might be the ultimate fix, I'd recommend not jumping in head first. Fillers could be a good way to start by plumping some of the hollows around your mouth. They can soften these signs of aging nicely in some cases. You can also consider energy treatments like Ultherapy or ThermiTight. You won't get surgical results but may be able to achieve some nice tightening. Finally, the most advanced option would be surgery, and in your case probably a mini-facelift. A mini-facelift can rejuvenate you look from below the eyes to the jaw line. Of course, the only way to know if this is a good option would be a live consultation with an experienced (board certified) plastic surgeon. You've got a lot of options. I wish you luck!I hope this helps! You can find more good info on my Instagram pages @drrubinstein and @plasticsurgerytruths

Answer: Other options you do not appear to have significant looseness of skin along with Jawline that would warrant a facelift. The areas around the corners of the mouth Will not be addressed with a facelift surgery. In order to address this area you should consider injectable filling agents, Botox, and skin tightening. Best regards

Answer: Facelift or other options? I personally think that you are too young for a facelift. Your jowls, lower face and neck still look nice. I would recommend hyaluronic acids, such as Juvederm, to the areas around your mouth that are bothering you. It will help to fill in some of those deeper creases and give you a little lift. Good luck!
