Hello, LIDO 28 in Portland. Thank you for your question regarding whether you’re a candidate for ThermiTight or BodyTite on your upper arms. Thank you for your history and your pictures. First, let’s examine your pictures. In examining your pictures, you have cutis pleonasmus (excess skin) and dermatocholosis (loose skin) without stretch marks (stria). You have Class 3 arms. That means you have excess skin and fat from the armpit to the elbow. Because of your age, weight loss history, history of 3 pregnancies, and the arm pictures you attached, your best surgical results can only be obtained with a brachioplasty, arm lift, or arm reduction. Arm ThermiTight or BodyTite will not have enough energy to constrict your arm skin. The only way to tighten your arm is by getting rid of the excess arm skin. You could add ThermiTight or BodyTite to the end of the brachioplasty procedure or even 6 to 8 weeks after your brachioplasty. However, you will not obtain significant arm results with just fThermiTight or BodyTite of your arms. The brachioplasty procedure takes approximately 3 to 4 hours to perform under general anesthesia. Usually, experienced plastic surgeons will also utilize arm liposuction during the beginning of the arm lift/reduction procedure. Arm liposuction would extend from the armpit to the elbow. Then, an incision would be made on your inner arm from your armpit to your elbow. Dissection is done to approximately 6 o’clock position on your triceps, and the intervening upper arm skin is removed. The benefit of placing the incision between the biceps and the triceps is that you barely see that scar when your arms are down by your side. The brachioplasty procedure does not require drains. You must wear arm garments for approximately 6 to 8 weeks after your arm reduction to minimize arm swelling and flatten the arm lift scar. Plan on a two-week recovery. If your job entails significant lifting, you only need to take off longer after your brachioplasty. Therefore, don’t waste your money on ThermiTight or BodyTite. You need more aggressive procedures to treat your arms. I hope I’ve answered your question regarding whether you are a candidate for ThermiTight or BodyTite to your arms.
