Mole removal options vary in terms of cost. In my office, we use hyfrecation, lasers, RF, and surgery to remove moles. Most procedures are not very expensive. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Hi and thank you for your question.I recommend that you see a dermatologist to evaluate this mole for possible removal. It may be covered under your health insurance, if not the office staff can gives you fees.Hope this helps.
It is very easy to do shave removal in the office by a well trained cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thanks for the question, its hard to say exactly without seeing the lesion especially since it may be covered by insurance if there are medical concerns otherwise I would guess around $1000
It is certainly important to have the area evaluated by a dermatology provider who can screen it for malignancy. Your dermatologist can also give you reassurance if the mole is not suspicious. If your dermatologist is worried that there are certain features in the mole that make it suspicious for melanoma, they may recommended surgical removal in order to have it examined by a pathologist. This would be done for medical reasons and should be submitted to your insurance company. If the dermatologist feels there is no medical reson for excision, then many offices may have prices they can give you for treatment for cosmetic purposes.
Prices vary widely from region to region, and even within a given area. It also depends on whether or not the moles can be shaved (ie, if they are raised) or would need to be excised. It typically costs less (in the range of $250-500 in New York) to have several moles shaved, but more ($500-1500) to have them excised.Speak with the offices of several board-certified plastic surgeons (or dermatologists) near you to get an idea of what the options and costs might be.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of #RealSelf100
Technically, mole removal during pregnancy is the same procedure as when not pregnant. However, most plastic surgeons will defer any elective procedure (unless there is a suspicion for cancer) until after pregnancy. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles
There are both benign and cancerous skin moles that can arise in this area. I would seek a plastic surgeon or dermatologist to evaluate the area and determine if you need mole removal. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Most mole removal treatments do not require any more anesthesia than just novacaine or lidocaine injections. Best, DR. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
