Your lipoma was examined, presumably, by the Pathology Lab, after it was surgically removed under general anesthesia in the operating room. An MRI might have been done preoperatively. All of these things would conclude that the lipoma was benign.  A benign lipoma was not cancer to begin with ...

There is always a possibility that blood has accumulated again under the skin (hematoma). It will need to be drained again. There also could be a leaky blood vessel that might need to be cauterized. RegardsDr.J
