Thank you for sharing your question.  For most patients a return to normal activities may take 2-4 weeks after surgery.  This depends on where the tumor was and the depth of involvement.  At times the stress of surgery can cause muscle cramping and tightness that is best treated with physical therapy, and which should improve quickly with time.  Hang in there.

Without further specific information, can't answer your question, since you did not specify the location. Ordinarily nothing you do on the gluteus would affect the inner knee. You may have adherence of the skin scar to the gluteus fascia which would take time to stretch out, and might naturally feel a bit worse after stretching exercises. In general, scar tissue evolves over a six month period, so sometime in the next several months one would expect things to resolve. I remove lipomas through a minimal 1/2" scar, so even with a drain, patients are back to normal in a week.

It is not possible to answer your question without more information. For example if the fatty lump was in the fat under the skin (subcutaneous) then your symptoms 7 weeks  after surgery are not what I would usually expect. If the fatty lump was removed from within one of the muscles then recovery can take longer although most people would not be getting such symptoms at 7 weeks after surgery. I advise you to return to your surgeon as they are best placed to advise you. Alternatively you should see another suitably qualified and experienced surgeon. Best wishes
