I found that the first few minutes feel like wrenching for lack of better explanation, but than you get into this intense rhythmic contraction of the muscles that feels really good!
Hello,Thank you for your question. EmSculpt is not a painful procedure. There is muscle contraction so it can be a little uncomfortable at times, but it is overall very tolerable. Please consult with a local provider in person to determine if its a treatment you are a candidate for. Good luck!
Hi ES,Emsculpt is an exception to the old adage, "No pain, no gain!" Emsculpt sessions should not ever be painful, they should be intense, not painful. The Emsculpt device allows the physician to control the power intensity of the treatment while the patient gives real time feedback. The power is gradually increased as the patient is able to tolerate the pulses. The goal is to get to supramaximal contractions of the large muscles which the patient can feel, and the physician can see. All of my patients have been able to reach 100% power shortly into their Emsculpt session. The other old adage that Emsculpt seems to be an exception to is, "If it sounds to good to be true...." Good luck and be well.Dr. P
The Emsculpt feels like an intense workout, but with no pain during the procedure. For best results, I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening in the same treatment as Coolsculpting. Z wave/Cellutone can be used for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I have had the EMSculpt procedure performed on myself. The treatment is not painful. It feels like an intense work-out. There is some soreness afterwards, just as there is after working out. This lasts maybe a day. There is no downtime. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.
Hello and thank you for your question. The answer is that there is absolutely ZERO pain. The treatment feels like you are having High Intensity Interval exercise with periods of muscle contraction and relaxation aka Muscle build and lactic phase where muscle is relaxed. The session only lasts 30 minutes sand the intensity of the treatment can be regulated by the technician. The goal is always to be at 100 %, but 90 and up is totally acceptable. This is not a painful treatment at all. We recommend that our patients remove all electronic devices and body jewelry and use the bathroom prior to their treatment session. You can almost see results immediately after each treatment. This technology is simply amazing. Hope this helps. Best, Dr.Avaliani
Thank you for your question. Emsculpt uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy to contract the muscles. This should not cause pain or discomfort. You may experience the feeling of an intense workout or some minor muscle soreness following the treatment. Consult with an experience medical spa or board certified plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!
Hello, and thank you for your question. Emsculpt treatment utilizes high intensity electromagnetic technology, which helps your abdominal muscles contract as if you are performing abdominal exercises. Although you may feel an intense pulling or contraction sensation, it is not painful.
Hi, thank you for your question. EmSculpt treatments do not hurt! During the treatment, the high intensity electromagnetic technology helps the muscles contract, and although the sensation may feel intense, it should not be uncomfortable nor painful. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure.
The EmSculpt treatment uses high intensity focused electromagnetic energy to stimulate muscle building. EmSculpt should not cause pain or discomfort. Our patients usually say they feel a “pulling” sensation that is startling at first but very tolerable after a few minutes. The provider treating you can start at a low intensity and increase the energy as you feel more comfortable.
The studies have not shown that wearing compression garments will help, so I think you do not need to worry about wearing compression garments. That is the beauty of Emsculpt, you can have the treatment done and go back to your normal lifestyle with eating, working out, and no major alterations ...
Thank you for your question. In general, EMSCULPT is FDA approved and was studied for abdominal and buttock area muscle toning. If it works in one area, it works in another. My practice is comfortable performing this on the arms. Having had a mastectomy before is not a...
