I feel that my butt has lost a significant amount of fat, I wear my garments and followed the instructions as far as not sitting on my butt for 6 weeks. I've made a change in the way I eat so that I don't gain crazy weight. I feel like I'm going through depression because of my surgery. I'm happy i no longer have love handles but I feel like my bra rolls are coming back and its not even been past 2 months from my surgery. I post op depression normal?
Answer: I had a BBL and Lipo 360 & I'm shrinking! Is this normal? Recovery from BBL and 360 lipo is patient dependent. Much of this depends upon the amount of liposuction performed and the amount of fat transferred. I have observed that between 4 and 6 weeks the buttocks tend to stabilize in volume. Usually by 3 months, the swelling is minimal and totally resolved by 6 months. Though depression may not be observed in the majority of patients, there are some patients in which the postsurgical changes and the healing process produce changes in mood. Answer: BBL results Dear DreamBBL11, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: I had a BBL and Lipo 360 & I'm shrinking! Is this normal? Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. After a BBL, only about 70% of the transferred fat cells will survive, so it is normal to see a minor reduction in your buttocks. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)

Answer: BBL Revision Final results are typically seen with-in one to three months. Do you know what technique your doctor used to harvest and graft your fat? The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. If skin redundancy is observed, Renuvion technology can be simultaneously applied to tighten your skin to optimize your overall contour outcome. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Depression after BBL it's not normal to have clinical depression after cosmetic surgery. Depression is pretty common and some emotional changes are pretty typical after these procedures including people doubting if they should've had the procedure, if the procedure was not done well and if it was money well spent. The decision to have cosmetic surgery is almost purely driven by emotion so expect some emotions to go with the aftermath. It's normal to shrink both in regards to liposuction and fat transfer for the first few months after the procedure. It would've been nice if your provider explained this to you. We typically go through these things during in person consultations. I suggest meeting with your provider to discuss your concerns. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
