This is a very good question. There is no scientific answer to this question. You will need to protect the fat that is transferred to the buttocks by not seating for about two weeks. Initially there will be some swelling your buttock will decrease in size by about 10% to 20%. Whatever is the size of your buttocks after three months, will be the size that you will have forever.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. After a BBL, only about 70% of the transferred fat cells will survive, so it is normal to see a minor reduction in your buttocks. At the stage you are in, you are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
After 3-6 months, I think there is little chance for the fat cells to die. Your buttocks will definitely shrink somewhat until at about 3 months. Some of this is due to reabsorption of fat cells which did not survive and some is due to your swelling going away. There is no way to tell which it is. The most important thing is to do everything right during the first few weeks in order to keep as many of the fat cells alive as possible. I have done about one thousand BBL patients and have rarely seen any changes after 3 months and these were always minor. Good Luck Dr M
As a general rule, I find that what one sees at three months after the procedure is usually stable for most patients. Further size reduction is not likely to be seen after that time.
After fat transfer some of the fat will absorb. The final result is determined by about 3-6 months. At six months what you have will stay.
Every patient heals different. During your recovery, it is very important to keep your follow-up appointments, and follow instructions from your surgeon. This is a very popular procedure that yields excellent results. The BBL is also a newer procedure, so seek out a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), and one that is experienced in this procedure. When the patients follow instructions, the results are beautiful.
You will find Great Variation in the time it takes to perform the Brazilian Butt Lift. The Results will also vary Greatly! Liposuction of the areas you list can be done in an hour, in 2 hours, in 4 hours or longer. Of course if its done in an hour, you will only have a small...
Thank you for your question. While there is no "maximum" amount of fat that can be removed, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons DOES NOT RECOMMEND any amount of "aspirate" greater than 5,000cc be removed from any one person during a single outpatient liposuction procedure. Aspirate is...
Brazilian butt lift is so popular because it enables your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. Liposuction is performed over several areas depending on the individual patient needs, but typically of the flanks, abdomen, back and thighs. It is true that some of the fat injected...
Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Typically, downtime for a BBL is 2 weeks. Each doctor has their own protocol It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, ...
It is impossible to give you more information without comparing your results to your pre-op appearance. 180 cc is relatively small amounts to be placed in the buttock, but this could have been all that the surgeon could harvest. This is a conversation you should have with him. Too much fat can...
Patients should have a nicely shaped abdomen after getting a BBL. The real key here is whether or not you are an abdominal liposuction candidate. If the patient has had a full term pregnancy in my practice I will not perform liposuction on her abdomen. This is because after the aggressive...
