Down Time After BBL Procedure?

Question

I have been researching and researching this for years.... I have finally decided to have the BBL Done and was just wanting to know how much time will I need to take of work... I have a sit down office job. I will be traveling to FL from arkansas to have it done, but wondering about time off work not including weekends... I want to make sure I do everything right including taking time to heal and have wonderful result. Doing everthing the doctor orders is a must. Thank you in advance. xoxox

Thanks for the question. You should be able to go on vacation by 3-4 weeks after your surgery. But this is valid only with assuming postoperative recovery is uneventful. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
Typically, downtime for a BBL is 2 weeks. Each doctor has their own protocol It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

I generally advise no heavy lifting or strenuous activity for 4-6 weeks.  No prolonged sitting for 10-14 days.  Also compression garments will be needed for 5-6 weeks too.  Hope this helps.
