Implants are pretty rugged and pretty durable but they are not stainless steel. At some point, one or both may wear out and need replacing. Still, these implants are put through some pretty rigorous testing prior to being put on the market and should be able to withstand anything that the normal breast encounters. Go play your rugby! More power to you! Worst case scenario, an implant breaks and has to be replaced. The implant companies in this country have warranties for broken implants so you should be covered, at least, for ten years. It's a bit of a nuisance but I would hate to see you give up something you love and live your life around your implants.
Thanks for the question. After 6 weeks your surgery area is totally healed and yes you can playing rugby and also do other activities. I wish you all the best.
Breast implants are very sturdy structures. I permit my patients to resume whatever activity they wish even contact sports four weeks after breast augmentation provided they are doing well.
Yes you can play Rugby after implants but I would wait about 8 weeks before resuming that sport. Please wear protective gear as recommended.
Yes, that should not be a problem. I let my patients resume all sports after 6 weeks. Implants are very durable.
You certainly can play full contact rugby with breast implants, but the regulations of the International Rugby Board require a regulation football 28–30 cm (11–12 in) long and 58–62 cm (23–24 in) in circumference at its widest point. It must weigh 410–460 g (14–16 oz) and be inflated to 65.7–68.8 kPa (9.5–10.0 psi). If the breast implants in question conform to these specifications, then I see no problem. Short answer: yes you can!
Hello Dannib. Thanks for your question. Rugby is a sports you can do after breast surgery, but you should be careful. Talk to your PS and make sure that you are fully healed before proceeding.
Yes. When you are fully recovered and with the correct protection gear, you can continue your life as usual.
Although your breast implants are pretty strong , they are not indistructable. By 2 months when you are fully healed, you should be able to lead a normal life without any restrictions. I work in a busy trauma center and seen many injured patients with breast augmentations and never seen acute implant ruptured
After 8 weeks or so you should be able to play contact sports but if there is any question your ultimate resource is your plastic surgeon.
Breast implants naturally give more fullness to the upper pole of the breast. A submuscular placement adds to this fullness. There is no exact right number of cc’s to use since every body is different and everyone’s desires and what they see is different. Typically som...
In my opinion and experience, saline-filled breast implants should be filled to their rated volume and no more than 10 % more than that (which makes a significantly noticeable difference in size). Over-filling, in my experience, means filling the implant beyond 10% of the rated volume or beyond...
