Plan B before BBL surgery?

Question

I'm scheduled for an awake BBL with tumescent liposuction. Is it safe to take Plan B 17 days before my surgery to delay my period? Plan B does not contain estrogen so it shouldn't increase blood clots but I just want to make sure that it's safe

Hello, thank you for your question. Birth control pills can increase the risk for clotting, I recommend you to consult with your board certified plastic surgeon. Always tell your surgeon about any medications that you have taken close to the time of your surgery.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Most will do the surgery after plan B pill. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

I do not recommend taking Plan B purposely for the sake changing your hormone cycle.
