Hello, 45 is definitely not too old for a mommy makeover. What is more important than age is that you are healthy and medically optimized before your surgery in terms of any other health issues (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc). or medications you take. Your plastic surgeon will determine any appropriate work up you will need before your surgery. Good luck with your procedure and congratulations on the weight loss! Keep up the good work! Dr. Sumer Daiza
Your overall health is more important than any specific age or BMI, but 45 years old is certainly not too old for a mommy makeover. BMI of 30 also should be safe to proceed, although in-person examination is always necessary to confirm this. You just need to make certain that your weight is stable and close to your goal, any medical conditions are under good control, and you quit nicotine if smoking/vaping. I recommend that you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss further. Hope this helps!
Age alone doesn't determine whether someone is suitable for a Mommy Makeover or any cosmetic procedure. What matters most is your overall health, medical history, and personal goals. At 45 years old, many individuals undergo successful Mommy Makeovers and various cosmetic procedures. However, your candidacy will depend on factors such as:Health Status: Your general health and any underlying medical conditions will be assessed to determine if you're a suitable candidate for surgery.Lifestyle and Habits: Factors like smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, or certain medications might impact your eligibility for surgery and the healing process.Expectations: Realistic expectations about the outcomes of the procedures are essential. Understanding what a Mommy Makeover can and cannot achieve is crucial for satisfaction with the results.Consultation with a Surgeon: Meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon is vital. They will evaluate your health, discuss your goals, and determine if a Mommy Makeover is appropriate for you.Ultimately, as long as you're in good health and cleared by a qualified medical professional, age itself should not be a limiting factor. Many individuals in their 40s and beyond undergo successful cosmetic procedures and experience satisfying results. It's essential to prioritize your health, discuss your concerns and expectations with a qualified surgeon, and make an informed decision based on their guidance.

Thank you for your question. Most important than Age are other factors as chronic conditions (Diabetes, Hypertension, etc) that should be pay more attention and could need support from other specialist to complete the preoperative evaluation. ( cardiologists, endocrinologist etc). Patients with a BMI under 30 are consider safer to perform a procedure. I recommend to speak to your plastic surgeon so he can do a personal consultation on your particular case. Hope this helps!
Hi sin2789,No, 45 is not too old for surgical procedures--but your plastic surgeon would make an evaluation of your weight, medical issues, and general fitness for surgery (including age) when evaluating you. A 30 BMI is usually the top end where you can get the optimal result for aesthetic surgery. In terms of what is recommended--it really depends on where you are starting. I'd suggest uploading a photo if you're comfortable, or making an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss.Hope this helps!Best,Christopher Pannucci MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonPlastic Surgery NorthwestSpokane, Washington

With a BMI of 30, if you are healthy, the MM can be performed. Age will not impact the results. The MM traditionally includes a TT, lipo, and a breast procedure. General rule of thumb is to be within 10 pounds of your weight goal and maintain it for several months prior to surgery to attain enhanced results and minimize risks of complications during and after surgery.
Hello!More important than age is health. The best patients for Mommy Makeover are healthy with minimal medical issues at a good BMI. BMI at 30 would be fine without medical issues. I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation. You can find one at plasticsurgery.org.
Hi Kind83836, Your abdomen skin has multiple stretch marks, and likely has lost elasticity. Liposuction works best when the skin is very elastic, and can rebound/tighten after underlying fat is removed. With the quality of skin shown in the picture, I'd be worried that liposuction would produce...
Certainly! Deciding between a breast reduction/lift with a tummy tuck (TT) versus liposuction after Extreme High-Intensity Training (EHIT1) involves considering several factors: Breast Reduction/Lift with TT: This combination is often chosen by individuals looking to address excess skin,...
Hi and welcome to our forum! From your preoperative photos, I note very significant breast sag with the nipples a considerable distance below the fold at the bottom of the breast. The abdominal skin was lax. From your postoperative photos, I note previous surgical scarring, lack of breast volume,...
