It would likely require one treatment with the VBeam laser to eradicate your blood vessel. IPL will help, but VBeam is geared to treat redness and is the treatment of choice in my Del Mar dermatology practice when it comes to treating blood vessels. As for the coconut oil, it is unlikely to help the area, but its also unlikely to hurt it.
Thanks for your question and posting a picture. All of the healing is going on beneath the surface. Applying anything topically really won't help. The tiny pink dot may continue to fade over the next couple of days. It does sometimes take a series of IPL treatments to diminish blood vessels. We normally retreat after waiting 4 weeks between treatments. Best of luck.

While I wish I could advise you avoid the sun altogether, it's not practical. Give yourself at least two weeks of no sun exposure and make sure you have good, if not perfect, habits following. Apply and reapply sunscreen, wear a hat, and don't run at high noon. BestAnil Shah MD
