Thanks for your question and photos. To treat the blood vessel, I would either recommend another IPL or a yag laser to further constrict the vessel. Coconut oil will not do anything as it is applied topically.BestAnil Shah MD
I recommend following up with your cosmetic dermatologist for after care. It can take several weeks for final results to settle. I always combine IPL with microneedling/prp to improve outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
It would likely require one treatment with the VBeam laser to eradicate your blood vessel. IPL will help, but VBeam is geared to treat redness and is the treatment of choice in my Del Mar dermatology practice when it comes to treating blood vessels. As for the coconut oil, it is unlikely to help the area, but its also unlikely to hurt it.
Thanks for your question and posting a picture. All of the healing is going on beneath the surface. Applying anything topically really won't help. The tiny pink dot may continue to fade over the next couple of days. It does sometimes take a series of IPL treatments to diminish blood vessels. We normally retreat after waiting 4 weeks between treatments. Best of luck.

Please contact an ophthalmologist as well as the office that did the procedure. For future reference, it is important to find the most skilled doctor's office in your area. Best of luck with everything.Best Anil Shah MD
I would advise patients to stop any topical glycolic cleanser or retinol cream 5 days prior to the laser and avoid use for 5-10 days post laser sessions. Always remember, the most important before and after care is to use sunscreen daily.
