One was slightly smaller before the operation anyway but he decided to put 250cc in both! It was 8 months ago. They look assymetrical in pictures but in the mirror I don't notice? One looks higher up than the other
Answer: Breast asymmetry after breast augmentation surgery… Although online consultants cannot help you when it comes to determining what size of breast implants should have been utilized, I can tell you that a significant "part" of your breast asymmetry concerns is likely related to differential breast implant positioning on your chest wall. My best advice: follow up with your plastic surgeon to discuss options when it comes to improving your breast symmetry. You may find the attached link/video helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast Asymmetry Hi bluestar, Thanks for your question! It's hard for me to comment on your preop appearance and what your surgeon's though process was in the O.R. Having said that, at this point you look to have significant asymmetry and would benefit from a larger implant on the left. Hope that helps, Jeffrey Horowitz, MD

Answer: Asymmetry after breast augmentation It looks like you have two issues. One breast fold is lower than the other, causing the implant to be lower. The second is the size difference. It does look like you needed to have different size implants placed. A surgeon can use a sizer during surgery to see what size is needed on each side. If you were to have a revision, I would correct the position of the fold and change the implant size on one side. Best of luck.

Answer: I had a Breast Enlargement 8 months ago. Should the surgeon have put a bigger implant size in the smaller breast? I believe the major cause of your asymmetry is that the right, lower breast implant is placed too low. This can be corrected surgically and if you choose to do that your surgeon can consider using a smaller implant on that side to match the left breast. Please see the Link below:

Answer: Breast Asymmetry There are a couple of points to address with your question. First, what do surgeons do with different size breasts and breast augmentation? The answer varies between surgeon. Many surgeons do exactly what your surgeon did and use the same size implant. This is because as the implant matures the breast tends to mold around the implant and the natural breast volume decreases making the breasts seem similar. Some surgeons feel that there is an advantage to using slightly larger implant in the slightly smaller breast. Lastly some surgeons will use a little fat transfer with the same size implants to even out the breast. Ultimately it is up to the surgeon and his or her experience. Second, asymmetry following augmentation can be from either baseline asymmetry before surgery or from a capsule formation or from an implant malposition (bottoming out, for example). I suggest you speak with your surgeon and review your result with him or her. It is important that you look at photographs from before your procedure so you can understand what your baseline asymmetry was. Good Luck!
