Rhinoplasty 5 days ago, can a weird facial movement or "scrunch" ruin the nose?

This would be nearly impossible. We are most concerned with higher energy blunt trauma to the nose (punch, cabinet door, fall) during rhinoplasty healing. Thank you for sharing. It's unlikely that a firm facial expression changed and part of the rhinoplasty result if the splint was unchanged. More likely you felt the skin being impinged by the external splint. See your surgeon to make sure. Best wishes

Dear ph23,I would assume and bumping or scrunching would feel very painful and strange after surgery. If is a good sign that you didn't describe any bleeding or increased bruising.You likely have a follow-up any day now, and you should describe what happened. I would doubt you did anything significant from what you described. I had a patient who's toddler was sitting on his lap the day after surgery and kind of head butted him directly on his fresh rhinoplasty! Even with that, thankfully no harm was done.Good luck at your unveiling!
