I peeled off dry skin and there is a lump there now. Can lip filler cause extra inflammation when you get a wound?

Thank you for your inquiry. It is possible to have some localized swelling that feels like a lump for a couple weeks after injections. I would try to leave the area alone and if the lump doesn't resolve within another week, let your injector know. They should be able to inject a little hyaluronidase to soften the lumpy area. Thank you for your question, It is difficult to say without photos. However, swelling can last 1-2 weeks after lip injections. I also recommend using an LED LightStim to decrease swelling/bruising. If more significant swelling/bruising is present, I recommend using a vascular laser or IPL treatment to help reduce the swelling/bruising more quickly. Arnik with bromelain pills (arnika forte) can also be taken to help speed up the healing. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
