To make an assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we always need to see proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took.Consider reposting, including before, and after pictures.Delivering consistent quality, liposuction, results is more difficult than most people realize. Liposuction has more variation and outcome, depending on who does the procedure than any other plastic surgery operation.Being bored, certified in plastic surgery, it was years of experience and overall good reputation, and does not mean that somebody has mastered Liposuction.Because there is so much variation in skillet when it comes to Liposuction, I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations before scheduling, permanent, irreversible body contouring procedures.During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patient who had similar body characteristics to your own. Look very carefully at all areas treated to make sure there are no skin contour irregularities anywhere. An experienced plastic surgeon that should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what the average results look like or how many procedures, anyone surgeon has actually done. Revision work is many times more difficult than primary Liposuction. This means the importance of provider selection is even greater when it comes to patient looking for revision work. Debility to improve Liposuction outcomes depends on the patient’s initial procedure combined with the first procedure was performed. Improving outcomes becomes more difficult when the first procedure was done aggressively. Some improvements are almost always possible, but getting quality outcomes from the poorly done the primary procedure is difficult, and sometimes requires more than one follow up procedure. Attempts at improving poorly done Liposuction outcomes generally include revision liposuction fat, transfer, or a combination of both. The process for finding the right provider to do revision work is more or less the same as finding the best providers to do primary procedures. The exception is in instances where patients need fat transfer, in which case providers need to be vetted in their skills for both Liposuction and fat transfer. In your case improvements should be possible, though it may be difficult to obtain the type of results you could’ve had if you chosen a more talented provider in the first place. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the best provider. The more consultations you have the more likely you are to find the ideal provider for your needs.Considering that religion work is more difficult, and Primary Liposuction the need for provider selection becomes even greater.I generally recommend patient start the process by having at least five in person consultations to choose a provider for primary body contouring procedures. For a vision work patient may need to be even more selective. The major difference between finding the providers for Primary Liposuction and Revision The work is going to be in the number of before, and after pictures available to view for revision work. Revision work varies dramatically in regards to the potential improvement and providers are generally not going to have nearly as many before and after pictures of Revision cases compared to Primary Liposuction.Good luck,Mats Hagstrom MD
