Driving after BBL revision ?

I want a round 2 bbl and I am wondering if 3 weeks is enough time to heel so I can drive pick up my kids from school?. I want to get the procedure in December on their Christmas break from school. they have 2 weeks off and my husband can only help me for 1 weeks then I have to drive to pick them up.

Dear Calm58652,
I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. Fat viability depends a lot of surgeon technique. The fat has to be placed back into the buttocks as soon as possible so that it has a greater chance of survival. It has to be placed carefully so that not too much fat is placed in only one area.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Three weeks is enough time for you to go back to sitting and driving after a BBL. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon and follow their instructions.

After a BBL procedure we recommend to have a period of 20 days to 1 month PO avoiding driving, in this time your transferred fat It can be shaped by the pressure that sitting causes you, the problem would not be sitting down, the problem would be how long it would take you to go back and forth to pick up your kids from school. Each provider will have their own postoperative instructions and recommendations. I suggest you ask your provider to see what their policy is.
Most providers have patients sit on the BBL pillow for a few weeks after the procedure.
