Answer: Poor liposuction results Delivering quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. There are significant differences in outcomes based on choosing the right provider. For this reason I suggest patients be very selective when choosing providers by having multiple in-person consultations before scheduling surgery. Patients should insist on seeing sufficient numbers of before and after pictures to have a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. Being shown a handful of preselected images representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like. Your results are a result of how surgery was performed. The procedure left you with an uneven fat distribution. There are no non surgical options that can correct this. Surgical intervention is the only option but is still limited in what can be accomplished. Liposuction is a permanent and irreversible procedure. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons is during the consultation period before surgery is scheduled. Revision work is many times more difficult than primary procedures. Any hope of improving your outcome can only be accomplished by someone who has mastered this type of work and even then improvements may be limited. I can not emphasize enough the importance of provider selection Mats Hagstrom, MD
