How can I fix this?! I had a BBL done in Mexico about two years ago. I really don't want to get another surgery done and am trying to figure out what I can do non surgically.. and if surgically how can I fix this.. and is it even fixable? Below is my before my bbl picture and after. What do you recommend surgically and non surgically? I also have horrible pigmentation.
Answer: BBL results Dear Straightforward946155, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: I had a BBL done two years ago. How can I fix this? Hello @Straightforward946155, Thank you for your question. The surgical procedure of liposuction, may or may not be associated with technology. Many times the characteristics of these lumps under the skin or retractions are secondary to a conventional fat extraction technique. We handle fat from the use of laser technology, which is light, or vaser, which is internal ultrasound associated with microair (PAL- Power assisted liposuction) the first two devices allow us to vase or Laser produce lipolysis (is to pass the fat of a solid state to a liquid state so that there are no irregularities under the skin) and the microaire or the PAL allows us to make the extraction of the melted liquid without so much trauma. It is important to be able to evaluate the case a little more to determine if only with a new lipolysis from the combination of technology can be improved. If it is only a lipolysis of the body contour, we will be able to improve the appearance by 50% towards 70% of the result you currently have; because fibrosis behaves as a scar inside the tissue and it is very difficult to be able to remove it completely. . Answer: Poor liposuction results Delivering quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. There are significant differences in outcomes based on choosing the right provider. For this reason I suggest patients be very selective when choosing providers by having multiple in-person consultations before scheduling surgery. Patients should insist on seeing sufficient numbers of before and after pictures to have a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. Being shown a handful of preselected images representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like. Your results are a result of how surgery was performed. The procedure left you with an uneven fat distribution. There are no non surgical options that can correct this. Surgical intervention is the only option but is still limited in what can be accomplished. Liposuction is a permanent and irreversible procedure. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons is during the consultation period before surgery is scheduled. Revision work is many times more difficult than primary procedures. Any hope of improving your outcome can only be accomplished by someone who has mastered this type of work and even then improvements may be limited. I can not emphasize enough the importance of provider selection Mats Hagstrom, MD
