Dysport and Cefuroxime axetil antibiotics - It's safe to take this antibiotics with Botox?

Question

One month ago, I had a few injections in zone II and forehead with Dysport (Botox). Today because of a rhinosinusite my doctor give treatment with Zinat (in Romania) - Cefuroxime axetil - 7 days, 1 at 12 hours. It's safe to take this antibiotics with Botox? I forgot to ask my doctor :(

There should not be a problem taking cefuroxime if you had a prior treatment with Botox or Dysport.  The antibiotic should not react with the botox or dysport.

Yes. Botox, Dysport, and other neurotoxins only work locally. It is safe to take all manners of systemic medications, including antibiotics, after receiving neurotoxin injections.

It should be fine to take antibiotics a month after your Botox treatment.  It should have no impact on your results.

There are no interactions of antibiotics with Dysport of Botox. As far as I know, there are no kown drug interactions with Dysport. You should have no concerns.

Hello. Thank you for your question. You can take your antibiotics without any effect on your Botox as long as you wait 7 days after the Botox has been injected. If you are taking antibiotics, wait to be injected until 7 days after taking the last dose.
