Does CoolSculpting leave a burn scar? (photo)

Thanks for your question and picture. Are you sure this was an actual Coolsculpting device? Was a gelpad placed on your skin before the treatment? Swelling and redness are common after the procedure and get better with time. The burning pain can occur, but not as commonly. Sometimes it needs medication to help. On another note, the applicator placement based on your picture seems odd for your fat distribution. If you do not feel comfortable with your treating provider then I would recommend you get an in-person second opinion from an experienced Coolsculpting physician. Best wishes.

This happens in some patients and I suggest you contact your physician: oral prednisone, oral neurontin and diuretics all seem to help. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments.  Keep in mind, for best results, a combination approach is needed and some people need more than one treatment with Coolsculpting. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing.
