I have been menopausal for 2.5 years, and after lipo in my abdomen I have had light uterine bleeding. Are they related?

Dear diane eastin,
any major surgery can cause significant stress and uterine bleeding. I would suggest you to consult your gynecologist in order to find the exact cause of your uterine bleeding.

Thank you for your question. The breast surgery wouldn't be directly related to your uterine bleeding. However, I strongly recommend seeing your gynecologist, as well as your breast surgeon for further examination.

I would certainly hope your liposuction procedure did not cause vaginal bleeding.  These are not related in anyway.  Follow up with your primary care doctor or OB/GYN.  Hopefully your liposuction results work to your liking. Plastic surgeons aren't going to be very helpful in regards to OB/GYN matters.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
