I was sized and got this garmet accordingly for my BBL sirgery. It feels so tight right now and I know some of it is due to swelling. Can a garmet be too tight and jeopardize the shape that you want?
Answer: Compression Garments after Liposuction or BBL Thank you for the question. It is critical to follow "YOUR" surgeons instructions. Every surgeon has their own protocol and their own way of not only performing the surgery but also taking care of patients after the surgery. That is one reason the results are so different from one surgeon to another as well. Its crucial to follow your surgeons post op instruction to get the results discussed pre-operatively. This may be different from another patient from same surgeon or another surgeon. The instructions are tailored to 'YOUR" surgery. Would contact your surgeon and have a direct communication. All the best wishes,

Answer: BBL garment Hi. Thank you for your question. A garment has to be thight after surgery to prevent the accumulation of fluids in the areas treated with liposuction. However you should let your surgeon know your concerns and see if he has a different garment for you in case he considers it the best solution. Happy recovery :) Dr Marco Carmona MD

Answer: Can your garment be too tight and ruin your BBL results? (Photo) Follow your plastic surgeon's advice. Plastic surgeon preferences for compression garments and length of time to wear differ. I typically ask patients to use adjustable garments with multiple bands so that tension can be adjusted and the areas of liposuction are less likely to get a fluid collection. The garments typically do not cover the buttocks. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
