Can your garment be too tight and ruin your BBL results? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. A garment has to be thight after surgery to prevent the accumulation of fluids in the areas treated with liposuction. However you should let your surgeon know your concerns and see if he has a different garment for you in case he considers it the best solution.

Follow your plastic surgeon's advice.  Plastic surgeon preferences for compression garments and length of time to wear differ.  I typically ask patients to use adjustable garments with multiple bands so that tension can be adjusted and the areas of liposuction are less likely to get a fluid collection. your garment will not affect your final results. Your garment will not affect your final results. Pressure garments or not nearly as important as to made out to be.In your case it's more an issue of comfort and practicality.From time to time and patience I'm garments that are too tight in certain areas. One option I have employed a few times is to make small cuts in the fabric to release the pressure in the tightest areas.  Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD

It is critical to follow "YOUR" surgeons instructions.  Every surgeon has their own protocol and their own way of not only performing the surgery but also taking care of patients after the surgery.  That is one reason the results are so different from one surgeon to another as well.  Its crucial to follow your surgeons post op instruction to get the results discussed pre-operatively.  This may be different from another patient from same surgeon or another surgeon.  The instructions are tailored to 'YOUR" surgery.  Would contact your surgeon and have a direct communication.All the best wishes,
