32 year old Asian male. What is the best way to get rid of a double chin and have a more prominent jawline? (Photos)

What procedure do you guys suggest to remove double chin and preferably strengthen my jawline? Even when I exercise and at my most fit, my face becomes thinner but the double chin remains, and the jawline is not as prominent as I hoped. A plastic surgery group here suggests Exilis and/or V-Contour for Face (uses injection). Again, I'm a 32 y.o Asian male whose moderately active, height 5 ft 4.5 in and weights 150 lbs.

Thanks for the question, seeking surgery can be intimidating. Most important is to find a staff and doc that make you feel comfortable and at ease. Also, you want the person doing it to be an expert. I have written several textbook chapters on liposuction and the 2017 American Society of Plastic Surgery Guidelines on Liposuction. I think laser liposuction of the neck would be a predictable, safe, and reliable way to improve your neck with minimal downtime or scarring. Looking at your photos, you have some fullness under your chin as well as some recession of your chin.  Liposuction under your chin and augmentation of your chin with an implant would address these issues and help to balance your profile.

Probably the most common cosmetic procedure for men under 40 (after rhinoplasty) is rejuvenation of the chin and neck. Based on your pictures (and assuming a normal exam), my suggestion would be to consider augmentation of the chin along with liposuction under your chin to remove any excess fat. Beautifully these two procedures can all be performed through one tiny (less an inch wide) incision under your chin. The chin implant will help give more profile and balance your lips and nose, while the liposuction will help make the area under the chin appear less heavy and full. As we do here in our Center, some plastic surgeons perform these procedures right in their office under local anesthesia with oral sedation. This keeps the process safe and cost effective for the patient. Recovery time is about a week until you can get back into light exercise. Best, Doc L.

I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates but Kybella can be used as an alternative with or without thermage/ultherapy/exilis.  PDO nova threads can further improve the jawline, while a chin implant would give more definition. See an expert. Best. Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years. After 30 years of shaping the face I have found that men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles.  
 From the attached photos, your chin is weak as are the mandibular angles.  The chin can be augmented with a chin implant with liposuction used to reduce the excess fat from below the chin.  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.
 Because of the unwanted side effects of jaw implants, I prefer to Augment the jaw line using  a dermal filler to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.
