Answer: Addressing upper lip asymmetry Hi! Thank you for your question and your picture. As far as some of the underlying asymmetry, that can be addressed with an upper lip lift. Remember, that some of the asymmetry you have is dynamic - meaning it is occurring when you smile, rather than at rest, which is where you would be doing your measurements to perform the lift. So long story short, just based on this one picture without a full consultation, I would tell you that you can have an improvement certainly - depending on the distance of philtrum that you have. As far as the down turned corners when smiling, for that you would need what is commonly referred to as a "smile lift" or an isolated corner lift. That can target that corner and rotate it such that it is no longer angling down when you smile. I hope some of this helps! Best of luck.

Answer: Asymmetry of lips and corner overhang. You could benefit from a corner of mouth lift and fillers or fat grafting to your lip to create symmetry.

Answer: Lip lift A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa show of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. The cost is $3,000 and takes less than an hour to perform under local anesthesia.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Lip Augmentation Thank you for your question. A corner lip lift is performed to lift the corner of your lip and to create a more even lip line. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy for the procedure, and to learn more about the cost, recovery, and healing expectations of the procedure. Best wishes,

Answer: Lips There are surgical and non-surgical approaches to lip augmentation. Non-surgical approaches include botox (slight lift, reducing gum show) and filler (volume restoration). Surgically, you can have two separate incisions under the nose (italian), one incision under the nose (bull horn), one incision at the red/white upper lip junction (gull wing) or two separate incision at the corners, or a combination, depending on your desired look and anatomy. Asymmetries can sometimes be balanced with an upper lip lift. Consult with an experienced lip surgeon for a complete range of options that are appropriate for your situation.
