I plan on getting a Rhinoplasty surgery to correct my nose. Just was curious if it would correct this issue on my right side of my nostril? Appears to be a skin issue yet wasn’t sure if adding cartilage or a graft would help. Thank you doctors.
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, nasal tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Lump on the nose tip This irregularity may be a result of cartilage bulk but also soft tissue related, enlarged skin gland or a cyst. Intraoperative examination in the course of rhinoplasty would give the most accurate answer to your question. Good luck.

Answer: No graft. Just rhinoplasty... I'm not even positive I see the "issue." Is it the 1-cm wide slightly raised circular area just lateral to the tip, at the front of the crease above the nostril? I don't see anything that would be helped with a graft. Often, small issues or asymmetries "automatically" get corrected if the tip is modified during the rhinoplasty, and it does appear that elevating the tip of your nose would be part of the procedure.

Answer: I'm not clear what you're referring to on the right side of your tip. Based on your photos, you appear to have somewhat red, thin, and sebaceous oily nasal skin, with a droopy tip and a dorsal hump. If you are concerned that there is a bump more protuberant on the right side of your tip, I suspect this is just your underlying nasal tip cartilage that is visible through the skin. Certainly would not hurt to visit a dermatologist, or to bring your concern to the attention of your surgeon. Please make sure that your surgeon has plenty of favorable before and after photos that demonstrates results similar to what you were looking to achieve. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi John,Firstly your tip of nose seems weak and droopy. Through your nose cartilage(if you had not have any surgery) your tip of nose should be supported and a more anatomical tip of nose should be obtained. Most probably when cartilage added your appears skin would be disappeared. Sincerely,Op. Dr. Baver M. SIMSEK
