Hollow upper eyelids after lower blepharoplasty? (Photo)

Question

In December 2022 I had a transconjunctival lower Blepharoplasty immediately after surgery my upper eyelids became dark hollowed and sucked in. When i wake up in the morning my upper eyelids are full after 10 minutes pass my upper eyelids hollowed and gaunt. I have never had a problem with my upper eyelids they were always naturally full and hooded. My only concern was to remove lower fat pads from under my eye which was a insecurity for me. I need help to understand how did this happen to me.

It is very difficult to visualize such a difference in appearance of your upper eyelids before and after lower blepharoplasty. Usually, such a moderate fat removal as you had in lower eyelids, should not affect upper eyelids at all. Only on the basis of detailed in person evaluation and analysis of multiple photos, a board certified plastic or Oculoplastic surgeon could eventually find a explanation  and treatment for such a condition. Maturation of eyelid surgery result may take 1-1.5 years in your age and your condition may still improve. Hope this helps.
