Hello, and thank you for your question. Generally, Himalayan Salt rooms can be safe to use before surgery. I’ve never had a patient who has asked about Salt Room Therapy. They are not very common in south Florida. However, be sure to discuss this with your surgeon for his or her opinion. Best of luck.

While I would strongly encourage that you discuss this with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon directly, in my practice I would permit this so long as it was no closer than one week from my patients surgery date and that he/she was sure to stay well hydrated. Each surgeon has his/her own protocols and recommendations, so it would be important for you to ask your surgeon and adhere to his/her advice.
