Is it safe to have Botox a few days before a mommy makeover?

Thank you for your detailed question. It is safe to have Botox before your procedure. If you are having it at the same office as your surgery, you could even inquire about getting the Botox while you are asleep during the surgery. For my own patients, I have been able to examine their muscle movement right before surgery and mark the areas I would inject so that while the patient is under anesthesia I can inject the Botox without any discomfort to them. At our practice we also provide consults via FaceTime or Skype for patients who live outside of NY. Hi Cindy, thanks for your question.  Based on my experience, it is safe to get Botox injections before any procedure.  There is no increased risk with getting a neurotoxin injection before surgery/anesthesia.  Many patients actually request injections while they are asleep at the end of their procedure.  Hope this helps! 

Cindy.   Having Botox treatment a few days before your mommy makeover should not be an issue. It should have no effect on your surgery, but I would still run it by your board-certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

While it is likely ok you should check in with your PS. I tend to avoid injections before surgery because if there is an issue it can confuse your post surgical care, but your PS may feel differently.Best wishes.

Thank you for your question. Although many doctors do allow you to have botox prior to that procedure, I recommend you discuss this with your plastic surgeon because due do that fact that he/she may have other pre-op instructions. 

There would be no issue or problems related to having Botox prior to your mommy makeover. The treatments are entirely unrelated. Most importantly is to find a highly trained and experienced cosmetic physician injector such as a dermatologist.

Yes, you can do botox after a mommy makeover-these procedures are unrelated. I would suggest waiting a few days in between and consulting with your doctor.
