If you are having it at the same office as your surgery, you could even inquire about getting the Botox while you are asleep during the surgery. For my own patients, I have been able to examine their muscle movement right before surgery and mark the areas I would inject so that while the patient is under anesthesia I can inject the Botox without any discomfort to them. At our practice we also provide consults via FaceTime or Skype for patients who live outside of NY. Hi Cindy, thanks for your question.  Based on my experience, it is safe to get Botox injections before any procedure.  There is no increased risk with getting a neurotoxin injection before surgery/anesthesia.  Many patients actually request injections while they are asleep at the end of their procedure.  Hope this helps!
