Thank you for your question, yes, Sculptra can be used to improve the shape of the buttocks. Keep in mind, the buttocks need numerous vials of Sculptra over time to build volume, and in some instances the results are subtle and will need to be combined with fat or implants to achieve desired results. I recommend seeing a body shaping expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
I believe you still would be a good candidate for this treatment. Methotrexate does not interfere with the type of inflammation we like with Sculptra. But I would say you should try the first treatment and see how much response you get and then get the second session.
Even though methotrexate treatment is designed to decrease inflammation in the body, the type of inflammation that occurs with the use of Sculptra is somewhat different. For those reasons Sculptra may still work in your body even though it may take a little longer. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery

Sculptra is one option for enhancing the backside. This treatment injects filler into the buttock area, but Sculptra doesn’t work like other fillers. Instead of adding instant augmentation, this product goes to work in the deeper dermal structure to stimulate the body to produce more collagen. T...
Hi Jaydee,12 vials of Sculptra in a 4 inch diameter cirlce is excessive. The amount of collagen produced by an individual varies so it is difficult to give you an accurate answer on the amount of projection that you will achieve. I would advise dividing the number of vials of Sculptra over m...
Great question. Sculptra is a great treatment that is non-invasive and can improve projection, contour and texture of the buttock. See the link below for some important research on the topic.
Weight loss can affect body fat composition and thus the shape and size of the butt, however it should not have a significant impact on the augmentation induced by Sculptra which is more related to production of collagen.
