Sculptra is one option for enhancing the backside. This treatment injects filler into the buttock area, but Sculptra doesn’t work like other fillers. Instead of adding instant augmentation, this product goes to work in the deeper dermal structure to stimulate the body to produce more collagen. The results appear over time and can last for at least two years. Sculptra gives subtle, pretty projection with 4 – 8 vials, but it can get very expensive if you want a very dramatic improvement. Your other option is fat transfer, which injects fat into the buttocks to create more fullness. The fat is taken from other areas of the body, such as the abdomen or thighs, via liposuction. The removed fat is harvested and then injected into the buttock using a strategic placement to create an even and natural result. No matter which treatment you choose, work with a doctor who has both certification and experience to ensure an optimal outcome.
Hello and thanks for your question! There are relatively few options for those requesting non-surgical buttock augmentation. In those that prefer to not have surgery or are not candidates for a BBL (sometimes due to lack of body fat), we have Sculptra Aesthetic and Renuva. Sculptra Aesthetics works by stimulating your bodies own collagen for augmentation and smoothing of cellulite. Renuva is a another injectable which stimulates your own fat cells to grow. This product is injected into small defects such as small dimples and in areas requiring less augmentation to smooth out the area. The results are definitely less dramatic than those from surgical fat grafting where large amounts of fat are placed above the gluteal muscles. We have found however, that combining Sculptra Aesthetic plus or minus Renuva and EMSculpt, can help smooth uneven texture, lift the buttocks and add volume. This combination of treatments can be done simultaneously and customized to fit your needs.
Sculptra with the right dilution doesn't cause nodules in the buttock and is very safe. It should be combined with RF treatments to get the sculptra to work even better/stimulate it to produce collagen such as venus legacy / exilis ultra / thermage / inmode forma or contoura. We often will add bellafill or renuva to certain areas to improve indentations or the buttock roll to get more definition and softening or to improve overall size and shape. Smooth novathreads do very well to improve laxity of the buttock as well non surgically. Just know that sculptra takes numerous treatments and vials, its a large expense and must be maintained at least 2 times a year after a series of treatments for the best result. Dr. Emer.
Hello, thank you for your question. Sculptra is a great option to increase volume in the buttocks and to treat cellulite. Although off-label, it has become a very popular treatment. Please seek a Board-Certified Dermatologist for a consultation to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure.
Sculptra can give you a non-surgical butt lift into this area. It can definitely give you the lift the you are looking for. Sculptra is one of the ways to have a butt lift without fat injections into that area. Please consult an expert in Sculptra injections for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
Sculptra is an option for nonsurgical gluteal augmentation. It adding volume to the buttocks by stimulating collagen production. The results are not nearly as dramatic as you would see with surgical augmentation. It's a good option for patients with the fat to undergo BBL or who are concerns about the safety of the BBL procedure.
Great question! But you excluded yourself from Non Surgical BBLs or Sculptra/Renuva BBLs by stating "drastic very noticeable effects..." These non surgeries need to be understood. The injections are recommended, specifically for safety, are NOT fillers!!! But these 2 products stimulate your own tissues/fat to grow. Therefore these injections are dose dependent to create results. In other words the limitations in amounts of mixed cc's of either product are controlled by the amounts injected in multiple sessions. Plus they are quite expensive products to use. To obtain an acceptable to moderate result the costs approaches $20,000++. For drastic results I suspect, in multiple sessions every 6 weeks with total costs near $50,000.
Hi Jaydee,12 vials of Sculptra in a 4 inch diameter cirlce is excessive. The amount of collagen produced by an individual varies so it is difficult to give you an accurate answer on the amount of projection that you will achieve. I would advise dividing the number of vials of Sculptra over m...
Great question. Sculptra is a great treatment that is non-invasive and can improve projection, contour and texture of the buttock. See the link below for some important research on the topic.
Weight loss can affect body fat composition and thus the shape and size of the butt, however it should not have a significant impact on the augmentation induced by Sculptra which is more related to production of collagen.
