Also, I was under the impression that you could see the result right away, but now I read that it takes 6 weeks. How can a doctor "design" the shape of the butt if they can't see the results when injecting? Finally: are there any doctors out there who have injected it in men? PLLA is a compound made by the body (especially right after exercise) to help firm muscles. Sculptra is injected into the target areas around the buttocks, contouring the shape, adding more fullness. Everybody is different and require different amounts fillers to achieve their desired look. I suggest starting with a small amount filler and gradually increasing the amount if necessary. Sculptra is not a replacement for a BBL, but it can be used off label for an initial butt or subtle hip augmentation or to enhance the appearance of a butt augmentation that a patient has had previously. It stimulates the body to create its own collagen. In the initial treatment several vials are injected into the butt or hip area. You will not see the full results for six weeks or longer. And you will need several treatments to achieve the results you are seeking. It can be very expensive but has practically no down time.Consult with a board certified PS who can examine you and explain the pros and cons of Sculptra.

It's a product that allows your body to form collagen around tiny resorbable crystals, and takes 10 weeks (not 6) to see a final result. When used off label as a buttock enhancer, I always say 10 vial minimum per cheek, or a total of 20 vials. I also tell my patients that you will get a VERY subtle result with 20 vials. Those that want more will need 40 to 80 vials. As you can imagine, this is very expensive, especially for a procedure that only gives year or two of results.
