Can I massage these lumps out of my lips? I still have multiple lumps in my lips. (Photos)

It probably will not do any harm to massage them but you should check with your doctor that performed the injections to be sure they are in agreement with that. If they don't go away you might benefit from hyaluronidase injections to reduce the filler there. Hope that helps and best wishes, Dr. Donath 

Yes, you can try to massage the filler. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

However, as it is past the 2 week mark you can also inject them with an enzyme to help dissolve them if they are due to filler. It is fine to massage the lumps in an attempt to get them to soften.  If you do not notice an improvement you may need to have them dissolved with hyaluronidase.

I always advise patients to do gentle massaging with one finger on each side of the lip (inside and out) to help decrease the swelling and smooth out the lumps however once the 2 week period has passed, if the lumps are still visible, you have the option to have your physician inject hyaluronidase or hylenex which is an enzyme the dissolves hyaluronic acid lumps/bumps. It typically takes 24 hours to see the result of the dissolving agent. Best of luck to you.

Lip fillers should always be injected with linear threading. Looks like you had a bolus technique. I would try rubbing them out and if they do not subside you should go back to the doctor who injected them and have them dissolved with hyaluronidase.  Hope this helps you out.

From the photographs you have provided, it appears that you might actually require a small amount of hyaluronidase injected in order to get rid of the bumps. You should discuss this with your treating physician. Good luck from New York City

I would really firmly massage the little balls of filler to encourage them to integrate with the lip tissue. Only massage within the lip, make sure your hands are clean and sometimes a little anticeptic cream or arnica gel helps lubricants so it’s not uncomfortable. Do this 2/3x per day for a week and if there is no improvement then the little lumps may need to be dissolved.
