Chin liposuction may be a good option for you and this can help improve what is bothering you. BUT you shoudl keep in mind that lipo just removes fat, and does not change the excess skin or the underlying bone structure. This is why chin lipo is often combined with things like chin implants and/or buccal fat removal.
It's difficult to say without the benefit of a formal evaluation. This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Dear Doll87,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from chin liposuction. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello, thanks for your question and photos. You are a candidate for Chin Liposuction. You can have it at the same time as BBL. The procedure will eliminate fat in the chin and neck and beautifully stretch your skin using J-Plasma. You'll get excellent results. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!
Nicely posted photos. If I was the surgeon I would just add the chin lipo to the max lipo of 4 liters in Florida office surgeries. Added $$ for chin strap only. But I bet you are using a clinic option so will be charged extra for chin lipo? But better yet is the clinic or surgeon you are using offering the REQUIRED Ultrasound guided fat injections devices? This will add $$$$ to your fees.....Best you do virtual consult with....
The primary underlying ideology a reason that you were seeking this procedure is that your mandible is small and underdeveloped compared to your maxilla.Individuals who have a small mandable compared to their Max a typically have the following conditions. Add dental overbite occlusion, and upper lip that has more forward projection than the lower lip and sideways photographs. Premature double chin despite being young and not overweight, poor job line definition and a pre-dispensaries Add dental overbite occlusion, and upper lip that has more forward projection than the lower lip and sideways photographs. Premature double chin despite being young and not overweight, poor job line definition, premature Jowl formation.Facial bone structure is the main determining factor for why each person looks the way they do and it is especially true for young individuals who don’t show signs of facial aging. soft tissues tend to be extremely consistent from side to side and from person to person. What differentiates how one person looks compared to another is all based on bone structure. What attempts are made of soft tissue manipulation to treat some thing that is based on the skeletal primary issue patients should expect partial improvements since the primary problem isn’t being addressed.Growing a bigger Mandible isn’t an option and the most correct procedure would probably be a jar advancement or sliding genioplasty/Chin implant. even with procedures like a sliding genioplasty it does not change the dynamics of where and how the underlying platysma muscle drapes the neck it simply gives projection and augment the chin.Well done Liposuction on the chin and neck can give quite impressive results especially on the young chubby people if done by a talented and experienced provider.Delivering consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult and most people believe. This is true for both patients and plastic surgeons. Most plastics surgeons think they are good at Liposuction/fat transfer but in my opinion the results I see say otherwise. Results are generally permanent and irreversible.I cannot emphasize enough the importance of patients selecting the most talented and experienced providers. To do that I recommend patients have multiple in person consultations, avoid travel long distances for surgical procedures, avoid having virtual consultations.During consultations ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures which hopefully will have a minimum of 50 but preferably hundreds of before and after pictures especially of patients with similar body characteristics to your own.Make absolutely sure that after pictures were taken at least three months from the date of the procedure. anyone showing early postoperative pictures for fed transfer should be an immediate red flag and that provider should be eliminated from your list of potential surgeons.Early fat transfer results look very impressive but do not at all represent final results. Showing these as what results look like is unethical and inappropriate.I also recommend reading all reviews on various physician review websites avoiding providers with an a significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is far more important and far more telling them having an abundance of positive reviews. In the end there are only two variables that determine the results of these procedures and those are the candidacy of the individual patient combined with the skill and experience of the surgeon. Both are equally as important.Typically there isn’t much patients can do to change their candidacy with the exception of losing weight if they’re obese.Patients do however have the ability to select the right surgeon and finding the right provider requires hard work and effort and it cannot be done using the Internet alone. You do have a weak chin as well as a overall small mandible and chin augmentation may complement chin and neck liposuction nicely.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
