I got my boobs done in 2021 I've been exercising a lot this week including upper body and chest. My left boob feels different than normal, extra soft and feels like it drooping and hitting my armpit more, I feel like I have To physically move it away from my armpit to feel more comfort My right breast feels normal, more firm and upright
Answer: Implant rupture Hello and thank you for your question. The answer to your question depends on if you have saline or silicone implants. Rupture of a saline implant typically presents as loss of volume of the affected breast implant. The change in the breast size and shape occurs soon after the rupture. With silicone implants, the rupture is often asymptomatic or "silent". I would suggest that you contact your plastic surgeon for a full evaluation including an examination impossible breast imaging.

Answer: Implant rupture Dear jtruong1367, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Did my implant rupture? The symptoms you described could be related to many things. Your implant may be displaced in the pocket. This is not dangerous but can be corrected via surgery. If your breast felt firmer before you may have impacted your capsule. In any case a visit to your surgeon for an evaluation can give you some peace of mind.

Answer: Breast feels different Thanks for your question. It's hard to tell what's going on without a photo or more information, but I can make a few guesses. (I will assume you have silicone implants, based on their greater popularity.) If both of your breasts have felt firm and upright until recently, then it is possible that your vigorous workouts have torn or disrupted the capsule around your left implant, allowing it to move more freely. This may firm up as the capsule heals or the pocket may be permenently enlarged and would require surgery to tighten it. Sometimes, the soft breast is actually the normal side, and the firm side is developing a capsular contracture, a tightening of the scar capsule that forms around all implants. This can happen from bacterial contamination of the implant or a ruptured silicone implant. An ultrasound would readily diagnose a rupture, and a physical exam can detect a capsular contracture. You should reach out to your original surgeon, or another plastic surgeon experienced in breast implants for an evaluation.

Answer: Implants You may have torn your capsule which allows your implant to move more. This would not be a rupture. However, you can have an ultrasound to check your implant.
