Yes, you need a breast lift. Usually this is done with implants to restore volume simultaneously. Breast implants alone will not correct your sagging and your breasts will look a little strange if you just have implants without correcting the sagging (Snoopy deformity). The vertical breast lift is best (not the anchor scar).
Implants alone will give more upper fullness but will not unfortunately raise your nipples like a formal breast lift can.True, trade off is scars but for full, perky breasts, best results would be implants plus breast lift.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to confirm this as well as discuss your options and expectations.
Thanks for your question. From this picture, you seem to be a good candidate for a breast lift or a breast lift with implants depending on your desired goal. I recommend scheduling a consult for a proper evaluation. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Dr. Moises Salama, board certified plastic surgeon.
Thanks for asking, yes you need a breast lift, the nipples are to low you need to lift up the nipples, and you will have scars, its not other way.
Your nipples are pointing downward and are located below your breast fold. For these reasons, a lift would be recommended.
Dear Hepburnn, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
A breast lift would lift your nipple-areolas to a more pleasing location so they are not in the lower pole of your breast. A slight reduction can also be done if you would like to be a bit smaller. An implant will not lift your nipples and will only enlarge your breasts further.
Hello, And thank you for the question. Based on the pictures you provided, you appear to be a good candidate for a full mastopexy (breast lift) which will put your nipples into the correct position, make the areola smaller and allow excess skin to be taken away, giving you a more youthful, firmer and lifted breast appearance. Some people are a little apprehensive to the full breast lift due to the scars (lollipop or anchor), but typically they do very well and scars fade over time. Adding a breast implant to the breast lift would add more upper pole fullness and breast volume, but may not be needed in your situation. You appear to have sufficient amount of breast tissue and adding the breast implants should not be needed in your situation to create a fuller and more lifted cleavage. I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in Breast Lift surgeries to further discuss your options, specific techniques, concerns and expectations. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. I hope this helps.Good luck! Whether you would benefit from surgery depends on your desires and expectations. An implant will give you upper pole fullness, but you should not expect any significant movement of your nipple position. An implant might increase the width of your breast, which might not be desirable. If you want any kind of a lift with some repositioning of your nipples, you would need to except scars. You could consider talking to a plastic surgeon to understand yourself exactly what you want. Could then get some information about if and how this could be achieved.
Thanks for your question! You don't need breast surgery; however, if you would like to have it, I would recommend a breast implant with a lift. The lift itself will get your nipple/areola on the most projecting part of the breast instead of pointing down. Good luck!
Thank you for your inquiry! Breast will normally settle and typically follow the chest wall. We would be happy to meet with you and discuss your concerns and options. A couple of options would be to tighten the pocket or add an internal bra for additional support. Schedule a consultation with...
Hello and thank you for your question. Honestly, a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are several reasons for this: 1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size) 2) Most...
Hi, When considering hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and surgery, like your upcoming breast implant procedure, it's essential to understand the risks. HRT, particularly estrogen, can increase the risk of blood clots during and after surgery. To assess this risk, surgeons use the Caprini Risk...
