Is this a saddle nose deformity or just a nose bump? I have none of the causes associated with a saddle nose. (Photo)

It looks like you have some irregularity of the nasal dorsum or bridge. The bone and cartilage can change as we age. You have to understand that there is no such thing as the “perfect” nose. As rhinoplasty surgeons, we are able to improve the structure and function of the nose to address specific issues you have with how your nose looks and and how well you can breathe. Perfect symmetry does not exist in nature. Attempts to improve the symmetry of your nose should be aimed at achieving an improvement in your asymmetry to the point where it is no longer very noticeable. If you look carefully enough, you will always be able to find imperfections. The goal is a normal looking nose that is in harmony with the rest of your anatomy.

 It appears that without any history to support it that you do not have a saddle nose. This appears just to be a hump. See a very experienced rhinoplasty surgeon if you want a more attractive nose.

Good for you that you reached out to the realself community for answers!The quality of the photos makes it difficult to tell you exactly, but in the picture where you are turned to the left, I notice a prominent bony dorsal hump, and in the picture where you are turning to the right I notice prominence of the tip cartilages.  Either of these structures can create the illusion of a saddle nose, or depression along the cartilage of the nasal dorsum.  It does not appear to me that you have a saddle nose deformity.Make sure to seek consultation with a Facial Plastic Surgeon experienced in rhinoplasty.  Usually, they will take high quality photographs and review them with you during the consultation.  This may be helpful at answering your questions more accurately.  Best wishes

You may have some asymmetry in the nasal bones but your pictures show no evidence of a saddle nose deformity. It appears to be more of a hump issue

 The photographs are of poor quality to make a judgment call upon what is present along the bridge line. A full set of facial photographs are required to make any determination. The dorsal hump is composed of both bone and cartilage must be shaved down in order to remove it. If a saddle deformity is present, this can be built up  with a cartilage graft harvested from inside the nose. Thank you for your photos.  A saddle nose deformity refers to a specific defect that is a result of injury to your septal cartilage.  If your septum is in tact and you have not had an injury, then the diagnosis does not apply.  This does not mean you don't have a profile that you don't like.  The photos suggest that you have a dorsal hump that could be addressed with a rhinoplasty if you don't like the appearance.  Visiting a surgeon for imaging and consultation would be a great first step.  Good luck!

Your asymmetry with a saddle and small bump is obviously inherited if your Mom has the same nasal contour. This can be successfully corrected with a rhinoplasty operation. This can also be improved with filler injections but this would not provide a permanent solution.

A saddle nose deformity is a complication from over resection of your septal cartilage during a rhinoplasty although it can be caused by trauma and some other etiologies.  You have a dorsal hump deformity which is amenable to surgery if you do not like the appearance of your nose.  Please see a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and to discuss your options.
