Hello! Thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case from the photos you provided. I recommend you a rhinoplasty surgery. Your nostrils are long and they're showing too much, the tip looks droopy. With a rhinoplasty surgery you can have a more elegant and more defined nose. Best regards!
Weir Excisions Tend to involve cutting the nostril where it meets the cheek skin. Since this can lead to visible scarring, we like to keep alarplasty scars at the nasal base. Consult with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists who offer computer Imaging so you could see what can be achieved in your situation. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hello @martikat, thank yo for your question. It's important to know that surgical technique varies from surgeon to surgeon. Weir Excisions it's a technique that involves the removal of cartilage and tissue from the lower portion of your nose. This is done to reduce the visible area of your nostrils, creating a more slimmed-down look. In terms of whether or not this procedure will help you, it’s important to note that every patient is different and results vary. A consultation with an experienced cosmetic surgeon is key in determining whether or not this procedure may suit you best. During such a consultation, you should ask any questions or concerns about the procedure and results. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Although alar wedge excision as a stand alone is a good one I think you need a full rhinoplasty in order for it to look right. Just the Weir excisions will yield a mediocre result at best
Weir nostril tuck: A nostril tuck, or “alar plasty“ is performed to narrow the width of the base of the nostrils. You do not provide a basal view of your nostrils, but if they are wide a nostril tuck will make them more narrow. You also appear to have slightly high arched nostrils. This will not be improved much by the nostril tuck. Some surgeons use filler for high arched nostrils, while others may use Alar rim grafts in more severe cases.
Dear marikat,Nasal base width and flaring are not your problem. You have alar retraction causing an overexposure of your columella and septum. This is usually corrected with cartilage grafts along the rims of your nose. Seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for an examination and discussion of your options. Good luck!
Hello! Thank you for your question. From the photos you provided your nose looks great overall. From front we cannot see a deviation but from the photo taken above, it looks like the is a slight deviation. It can still be due to swelling of course. I recommend you to wait 1 year post-op and then...
Hello! Thank you for your question.Actually you can have a rhinoplasty surgery until 65 (if your health and skin condition is suitable).Anyway, with time the skin looses its elasticity and the recovery/healing time gets longer. There is no ''best age'' to get the surgery done, but I would...
Hello! Thank you for your question.fro the photos you provided it looks like you still have a bit swelling. I recommend you to wait until 6 months post-op, and then you can go back to your surgeon for a check-up. Anyway swelling can continue up to 1 / 1.5 year post-op depending on your skin....
