Should I start using Rogaine before my forehead reduction?

Hi! I have scheduled a forehead reduction to be done in the coming months, and I'm wondering if I should start Rogaine before I have the procedure. I've never had hair loss, and there is no history of it in my family. I'm wondering if I should start it as a preventative measure for any reason. I'm a 20-year-old white male, if that helps. Thanks!

Specific medical treatment issues should be discussed with your doctor especially if you are not sure how to use the medication.

Without pics its hard to even comment about your hair loss pattern, etc...  I'm not sure that Rogaine would have any value for the purpose you are asking about, but could have other value if you do have signs of hair loss despite the fact that you said you don't.  You should ask that question to your surgeon if you are already scheduled for surgery.

I don't believe that Rogaine (Monoxidil) will have any value for you but best to ask your surgeon his/her opinion
