I did vaser liposuction for my double chin 5 months ago, but unfortunatilly my face became square shaped and my right side of the face is so different and more square than the my left side!! Is it normal and will it shrink afterwards ?, or there was a fault in my surgery which made this happen? How could i treat it??( i used the garment post surgery for 8 weeks) Farawla

Thanks for your question and photos.  I do see what you are referring to and, to me, it appears that you may have a little bit more fat at the jowl of the right cheek.  Another factor is that you may actually be naturally asymmetrical - almost everyone is.  It is very rare that one side is a mirror image of the other; in fact, if you play around with some of the photo editing programs, you can actually cut your face in half and flip around one of the halves and make a new image of yourself with "two left sides" (or two right sides) - most people look really weird like that (except super models).  Assuming that you are not asymmetrical and that this is an asymmetry caused by the surgeon taking a little more fat from one side than the other, then there are several ways to correct this.  If you came to see me at my office, I would recommend InstaLift sutures to give your cheeks and jowls a slight lift, which would make your jawline less "square" looking and, if that is actually a little blob (medical terminology) of fat on the right, I would recommend dissolving it with Kybella.  Some fillers in the midface and cheeks would also give you some more lift and create a more youthful "V" shaped face.

That's kind of what you signed up for. If you make your chin and neck smaller your face will appear wider and more square. Based on your pictures the left side of your face is substantially wider than your right side. This asymmetry is normal and was present before your procedure.  This is simply the look of flattening out your chin and neck I think it's what you asked for when you asked for the procedure.  Balance and harmony is an integral part of body contouring in other words changing one area can cause other adjacent areas to look different.  Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.

From your photos, I do note the asymmetry of the cheeks. You note that you underwent a liposuction for double chin. Did the liposuction also involve the cheeks? Or is this still postoperative swelling (which can last up to a year)? 
I would recommend reevaluation by your plastic surgeon as you may ultimately be a candidate for revision if the asymmetry and fullness persists. 15% of cosmetic surgeries require a touch up.
