My side view is huge and protruding after rhinoplasty. Is this permanent? (Photo)

Hi Sofiee. This should have been something your surgeon should have discussed with you prior to doing surgery. But basically, there is a common "myth" with noses that you can get both a narrow nose from the front and a small nose from the side. Some people with the right facial skeleton for sure can get this and may even be born that way. However, in general, the more projected (how much it sticks out from the face) a nose is, the deeper the shadowing appears on frontal view and thus the skinnier the nose actually appears. My suspicion is that your surgeon actually did build up your projection to give the illusion of your nose being thinner from the front. I may be wrong- the best bet would be to ask your surgeon what is going on. It is also possible that you may have scar tissue and/or other issues given that it is a revision rhino so all kinds of unusual healing could be happening. Since only your surgeon knows what was done exactly, s/he would be the best one to advise you.

It's not clear from your narrative how long ago you had Revision rhinoplasty surgery. We can see that your bridge is a bit higher on profile with tape on your nose, however, this is certainly reflecting some degree of nasal swelling associated with your second surgery.
