I have a non-existent neck, jowls and a double chin, my skin is really stretchy and I have very little face definition. I'm 35 years old. Looking for suggestions and advice, thank you!
Answer: Good candidate for a MACS list MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) lift has become a popular style of facelift after it was described and published by Patrick Tonnard in the early 2000s. The big advantage with this surgery is that it is less invasive than some of the other 'deep plane' facelifts that require more dissection during the surgery and consequent longer operating time and recovery. The MACS lift is ideal in you age group, where the skin is still of good quality - meaning it still has reasonable elasticity and not stretched and saggy. It is almost always accompanied by some neck liposuction to remove fat under the chin and jaw to give a better profile and jawline. The MACS lift will improve jawline definition and nasolabial folds, and also cheek fullness where we tend to lose volume with age.

Answer: MACS facelift with liposuction Thank you for your question and photos. Judging from your photos, it looks you may benefit from a MACS lift with liposuction of the neck. Though 35 years of age is young for a face lift, there does appear to be some mild sagging in the jowl area. You could also consider non-surgical treatment for the neck such as Ultherapy or Exilis Ultra, but the results will not be as dramatic or long lasting as using a surgical approach. Surgery does not change your skin quality, so any non-surgical treatments for skin tone and tightening will prolong your surgical results. Best of luck to you.

Answer: MACS Mini-Facelift vs Liposuction Only While physical exam would be optimal, it appears from your photos that Micro-Liposuction of your neck and jowl regions may be all you need. As much as I love MACS facelifts, 35 is kind of young for a facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. Having said that, I would try just liposuction, and consider the Mini-Facelift in 5 years, if you still think you need it. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
