Thanks for the question.  It is best to follow up with your doc.  Topical steroids are temporary.  Long term uses can cause color changes to skin or thinning. I am not sure why it is read after 4 months.

Ask your doctor before starting any medication.  You need an examination by a doctor for your medical problems.  Facial hair is a genetic trait.  Medications (or testosterone) will not grow facial hair.

After your face has healed and the scabs have fallen off, there should be no issue of shaving your beard.  As always, it is a good idea to check with your doctor as each doctor has their own unique post operative instructions.
