Which would you recommend; Mentor vs Sientra? (photos)

BOTH are great companies with great products and I try to use many different implants from different companies as I believe the implants are very similar

Both implants have good warranties.The nipples will not move closer together from the augmentation but the implants can be placed is such a way to improve your cleavage.To be sure, see two or more board certified plastic surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure that you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery.I hope this helps.

Both companies make implants that are FDA approved and can produce good results. Far more important than the subtle difference in the implants that you cited is the artistry, skill, training, and experience of the plastic surgeon who surgeon certified by the American
Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You
should further discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person and make the decision with him or her.

I think both implants have a great quality, Mentor is made in the USA and Sientra is Brazillian, both have great cohesive gel implants and I believe your surgeon have to decide whats the best for you according to your frame and cup size and projection and volume you want, Just get FDA approved implants and definitely do it with a Board certified Plastic Surgeon.

Both brands are excellent choices.  The Mentor moderate PLUS in analogous in size to the Sientra moderates.  I'm not sure if you were trying to decide between moderate sientra and moderate mentor? the mentor moderates are pretty flat in my opinion.  They are wide and will help with cleavage to some degree but they lack projection.  The mentor moderate plus on the other hand are about the same as the sientra moderate.  Your surgeon can really help you with this decision.  keep in mind that choosing between 380 cc and 385 cc is pointless- nobody can see a difference with 5 cc.  You would want to base your decision more off of profile/shape.  Hope that helps!

Based on your photographs, you are starting at a great place and should have a very nice outcome with breast augmentation surgery.   Personally, I think that you should do well with any of the FDA approved breast implants ; much more important will be the recommendations below: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully.  Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.  2.  Again, have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining which operation and/or breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals.
In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.
 Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup  size may also be inaccurate.   Therefore, I ask that my patients not base their communication preoperatively OR  their satisfaction with the outcome of surgery postoperatively, on achieving a specific cup size. The use of computer imaging may be very helpful during this communication phase.
3.  Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly,  allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals.  Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery.  The use of temporary intraoperative sizers, viewing the patient's breasts in the upright and supine position, are very helpful during the breast implant selection process.

Thank you for your question and both manufacturers make excellent products.  You did not mention, however, the Sientra textured surfaced implants that has a moderate size and comes with a warranty against capsular contracture.  Ask your surgeon or get a second opinionDr Corbin

Both central and Mentor make excellent implants.  Based upon your breast base width the whiter based Mentor may be a better choice.  Please follow the advice of your plastic surgeon.
